prtcl is developed and published by Rasena ("we", "us", or "our").

Overview

prtcl is a health protocol tracking app designed to help you follow structured, evidence-based health protocols. We built prtcl with privacy as a core principle.

Your Tracking Data

Your protocol selections, step configurations, daily logs, adherence scores, measurements and photos are stored in a local database and app files. prtcl does not upload these records to Rasena or RevenueCat. Optional health-store access, exports and device backups are described below.

Health Data (Apple Health / Health Connect)

If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, prtcl reads the health types you approve to fill linked markers and complete linked protocol steps. Imports are processed on your device and saved locally. prtcl does not send these readings to RevenueCat or use them for advertising or marketing.

You can revoke access at any time in the Health app (or Health Connect) settings, or disconnect from prtcl's settings. Disconnecting stops all future syncing. Readings already saved remain part of your local history until you delete them or uninstall the app.

Writing to Apple Health or Health Connect is off by default. If you enable the optional "Write to Apple Health / Health Connect" setting, measurements you log yourself in prtcl (such as body weight) are also saved to the health store on your device, where they are governed by that store's own permissions. You can turn this off at any time. Any subsequent syncing or sharing by the health store is governed by its settings and permissions.

Data Storage & Security

Your tracking records are stored in the app database and files. Protect access using your device security settings. Device backup or transfer services may copy app data according to your operating system and backup settings; prtcl does not provide its own cloud backup.

Removing the app or clearing its data removes its local records, subject to your operating system settings. This does not delete device backups, records already written to Apple Health or Health Connect, or subscription records held by RevenueCat and the app stores. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription.

Backups and Exports

When you choose Save backup or Export CSV, prtcl creates a file on your device and opens the system file picker so you can choose where to save it. Backup ZIP files include your tracking records and photos. CSV exports include readable records and photo references, but not photo files. These files are not encrypted by prtcl; protect access to them.

If you choose a cloud drive or another external destination, that provider receives the file under its own privacy policy. prtcl does not upload backups automatically. Restoring a backup replaces local tracking records after your confirmation and does not restore subscriptions or health permissions. Deleting app data does not delete exported files.

Third-Party Services

prtcl uses RevenueCat to load subscription plans, check trial eligibility, validate purchases, restore purchases and determine premium access. The SDK communicates online and uses a generated app user identifier, purchase receipts or tokens, purchase history and subscription status, together with technical information such as app version, device type and operating system. Subscription checks can occur when you open the app, even before you buy anything.

Payments, Fonts and Support

Apple or Google processes your payment using your store account. prtcl does not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat processes subscription information on our behalf; information about its service is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. Store purchases are also subject to the privacy policy of Apple or Google.

The app may download fonts from Google when they are not cached. These requests expose connection information such as your IP address to the font service, but do not include your health records.

If you email support, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to attach so we can respond. Avoid including health records unless you want to share them for support.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children. If you have concerns about information provided by a child, contact hello@rasena.co.uk.

The protocols and health-related content within the app are for informational and self-tracking purposes only. Always consult qualified health professionals before making significant changes to your diet, exercise, or health routines.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our features or data handling change. The updated date appears at the top of this page.

Your Rights

You can manage tracking records in the app and remove local app data through your device settings. Manage health-store permissions and records separately in Apple Health or Health Connect, and cancel subscriptions through the store where you purchased them.

For questions or requests concerning subscription or support information, contact hello@rasena.co.uk. You can include the Account ID shown in About to help us locate your subscription records. Your rights depend on applicable law; deleting the app does not itself submit a data-deletion request.
